The Underbarrel Shotgun is a rail attachment.

While attached, an underbarrel shotgun allows the user to fire a single buckshot round, dealing incredibly high damage at close range. This buckshot shares most characteristics as any normal shotgun, although has a wider cone-of-fire than usual.

Weapons equipped with an Underbarrel Shotgun suffer a 250ms (0.25s) penalty to their equip time.

To use an underbarrel attachment, press the weapon's Gear Slot hotkey (1 if primary, or 2 if secondary, by default) whilst the parent weapon is held in hand.
