Advanced Shield Capacitor is a suit slot enhancement available to all non-MAX classes. It is auto granted at rank 1 for the Engineer and rank 5 for the Light Assault, and otherwise unlocked and upgraded using Certification Points.
While worn, an advanced shield capacitor reduces the time taken for a damaged or depleted personal shield to regenerate, by reducing the delay before regeneration begins and increasing the speed of regeneration significantly.
The capacitor reduces the delay before regeneration begins by 1 second, and increases shielding restored per second by 41.67, increasing up to 83.34 per second at rank 5.
In simple terms, this means that a standard 500-strength shield with the capacitor will take up to 4 seconds to regenerate, decreased to 3 seconds at rank 5, with a 5 second delay after receiving damage.
This enhancement's regeneration delay bonus does not stack with the same effect found on the Survivalist implant, although does stack with the Engineer's Quick Shield Recovery passive skill.

- NSO Combat Medic and Heavy Assault now have access to the Advanced Shield Capacitor suit slot.
- Advanced Shield Capacitor now reduces shield recharge delay by 1 second, in addition to its pre-existing benefit. (This benefit does not stack with Survivalist implant.)
- Dev Note: This change should help bring ASC back into a more competitive place with certain loadouts.
