The TAR is an assault rifle available to the Terran Republic. It is unlocked through purchase with Certification Points or Daybreak Cash.
The Terran Assault Rifle, similar to the GR-22 and H-V45, is a close-range assault rifle that sacrifices a large amount of accuracy and damage range for amongst the highest close-range damage-per-second in its class and exceptional mobility.
Similar to those other two weapons, the TAR features a tight hip cone-of-fire. With this in addition to the weapon's 0.75x movement speed modifier while aiming-down-sight, in contrast to the typical 0.5x multiplier found on most weapons, the TAR finds itself as an exceptionally mobile weapon platform, as a trade-off for heavy penalties the weapon suffers when fighting at range.
