The Scythe is an empire specific fighter available to the Vanu Sovereignty.

Constructed using Vanu technology, the Scythe features particularly unusual handling compared to its contemporaries. The fighter is more comfortable moving through the air, featuring the best airbrakes of any fighter, being less affected by gravity while hovering, and drifting considerably less when pitching aggressively, all allowing the Scythe to maneuver through hostile terrain better than its contemporaries.

The Scythe's airframe is also notably thin when viewed from the front, sides, or behind the aircraft, making it more difficult to hit in a head-on engagement. On the flip side, the fighter is long and wide, making it incredibly easy to hit when fired at from above or below, which reduces the aircraft's survivability in engagements where it is not possible to keep the nose pointed at every enemy.
