The SMG-46 Armistice is a fully automatic TR submachine gun featuring a slightly larger magazine than the other first generation SMGs.  Its extremely high rate of fire allows it to dispatch enemies quickly and, when equipped with a suppressor, almost silently. Although available to all classes except the MAX, the Armistice along with other SMGs is best used on the infiltrator due to their lack of any close quarters weapon and the ability to cloak leaving almost no trace of their presence.

The Armistice has an extremely high rate of fire but low per-shot damage, as such it is best to engage an enemy and land as many shots on them as possible, whatever the range. By default it has very poor accuracy when aiming down sights at medium-range enemies with large recoil, however if the user wishes the compensator and forward grip will mitigate this. For those who intend to use this SMG for close-quarters combat and only that, the Advanced Laser Sight is a must.

A compensator redirects gases upward, reducing vertical recoil by 30%, and increasing hipfire cone of fire by 15%. The added sound pressure causes the player to show on the minimap 35m farther away.

A flash suppressor makes the shooter less visible to the enemy, but increases the range at which you appear on enemy minimaps by 15 meters.

The weapon's muzzle flash and noise generation is reduced, and the player no longer appears on the minimap when firing. In exchange, the weapon's damage falls off 20 meters sooner and bullet velocity is reduced by 15%.

Hailstorm or Armistice?

Both are excellent in CQC, but the differences do start to show with the Hailstorm having a lower rate of fire and large magazine, while the Armistice having a much higher rate of fire and smaller magazine. The SMG-46 Armistice reward those who can land their shots on the target as it's magazine practically evaporates after a few seconds, while the Hailstorm rewards those who can take advantage of its continuous stream of bullets. Both SMGs cost the same, at 1000 certs, or 700 Daybreak Cash.


Ribbons and Medals

It is possible to get both Ribbons and Medals for using the SMG-46 Armistice. Each Ribbon is a standard reward for achieving a set amount of kills with the Armistice. Medals relate to how many overall kills you have with the Armistice.
