Nano-Armor Cloaking

Nano-Armor Cloaking is an ability available to the Infiltrator. It is unlocked and upgraded using Certification Points.

Nano-Armor Cloaking allows the Infiltrator to cloak at will, becoming harder to see and clearing spots. The Nano-Armor Cloak functions on an energy meter, that lasts for up to 6.5 seconds (8.5 at max rank) when fully charged, and takes up to 13 seconds (11 at max rank) to recharge, down to 11 seconds at max rank. The meter will constantly drain while cloaked, regardless of movement state.

The Nano-Armor Cloak also increases the Infiltrator's shield health by 100, allowing him to be as resilient as other classes are by default. While cloaked, the Infiltrator will also take 25% less damage from small arms fire (35% at max rank). This does not stack with any other damage reductions, such as Nanoweave Armor.

Cloaking is toggled by pressing the Ability hotkey (F by default). The Infiltrator will quickly become transparent, and energy begins draining immediately. If the hotkey is pressed again, or energy is drained, the Infiltrator will uncloak.

"The heavier Nano-Armor Cloaking device passively grants 100 shield health to the infiltrator. While the cloak is active, it will also reduce incoming small arms damage by 25%. Nano-Armor can remain active for 6.5 seconds and recharges in 13 seconds."

Level Cost Description
1 50 Icon resource certpoints 25x25 Unlocks Nano-Armor Cloaking. While active the Infiltrator takes less damage from small arms fire. The Cloak can remain active for 6.5 seconds. It recharges to full in 13 seconds.
2 100 Icon resource certpoints 25x25 The duration the cloak can remain active is increased to 7 seconds, and the charge time when depleted is decreased to 12.5 seconds.
3 150 Icon resource certpoints 25x25 The duration the cloak can remain active is increased to 7.5 seconds, and the charge time when depleted is decreased to 12 seconds.
4 200 Icon resource certpoints 25x25 The duration the cloak can remain active is increased to 8 seconds, and the charge time when depleted is decreased to 11.5 seconds.
5 500 Icon resource certpoints 25x25 The duration the cloak can remain active is increased to 8.5 seconds, and the charge time when depleted is decreased to 11 seconds. Additionally, the small arms damage resist is increased to 35%.

  • September 7, 2016 Update
    • No longer suppresses shield shimmer when damage is taken while cloaked (effect has been moved to Chameleon Module suit slot.)
    • Now passively increases shield health by 100 in all states.
