M96 Mjolnir
Affectionately referred to as "The Boombox" by many NC soldiers, the Mjolnir's burst fire explosive rounds excel against armored targets in close quarters engagements.
The M96 Mjolnir is a New Conglomerate close-range anti-vehicle secondary weapon for the Vanguard. It is a 4-shot burst fire grenade launcher with a large magazine. While its steep projectile arc and low muzzle velocity limit the weapon's effective range, the high magazine capacity with its burst-fire mechanism allow it to deal heavy sustained damage against enemy armour, somewhat compensating for the slow loading times of the Vanguard's main gun during close-ranged engagements.
With any vehicle weapon, it is possible to get both Ribbons and Medals. Each Ribbon is a standard reward for achieving a set amount of kills with a vehicle weapon. Medals relate to how many overall kills you have with the vehicle weapon.
Now on Light Anti-Vehicle resist type (from Mjolnir resist type)
Damage from 150 to 80
Blast
Inner Damage from 50 to 125
Inner Radius from 0.2 to 0.5
Outer Damage from 20 to 10
Outer Radius from 2 to 3
Magazine certification down from 3 ranks to 2 ranks (from a total of 60 to 48) (this requires the line to be refunded)
Reload speed from 4 seconds to 3 seconds
Dev note: The magazine size upgrade was very strong compared to Vulcan and Aphelion. This change brings it closer in line with them. The reload speed change helps compensates for the loss of magazine size. The damage change results in the same volleys to kill for most targets but fixes an issue where one target type was getting killed one hit to soon.
Reload speed certifications changed to 20% reduction (max rank) across each weapon (rank 1 starts at 10%)
Dev Note: This moves Mjolnir to the front of the pack in terms of damage output among the close range anti-vehicle weapons, against most vehicles, and helps close the gap on the vulcan in harasser versus harasser combat.
Dev Note: This adjustment reels back some of the power that was given to Mjolnir in the Nov. 20 update, while still retaining increased damage over the CAI launch version.
Dev Note: Mjolnir retained its effectiveness beyond the intended range. A velocity adjustment helps reel in this range without having to debuff cone of fire attributes.
The reload speed certification lines for top guns, air vehicle non-nosegun (and non-bellygun) weapons have been standardized at 10/14/17/19/20% reload speed.
