Generator, often referred to in-game as Shield Generators, are support objectives found at many facilities across Auraxis.

Typically located at major facilities, such as Amp Stations, and common even in outposts on Hossin, generators power shielding designed to impede the flow of troops, vehicles, and projectiles throughout the facility by preventing the passage of some or all of the above while the generators are online.

Most generators can only be disabled by overloading them, a process started by hostile players which takes up to two minutes to complete and is clearly indicated to all forces present within the facility, a process which can be halted by allied infantry at any time prior to the generator's destruction. The destruction of a generator immediately halts its functionality, which will similarly be restored instantly upon repair.

Overload and Repair[]

Players attacking a facility to which they have an uncontested lattice link can overload any of that facilities' generators to begin the process of disabling them. To start an overload, the player will have to interact with the generator for several seconds. The icon of a generator overloaded or in the process of being overloaded will flash both on the minimap of all players as well as in the world, with both icons displaying the time remaining until destruction once overloaded.

Overloaded generators can be defused by allied infantry at any time prior to the generator's destruction, a process that provides no warning to its progress, demanding aggressors maintain eyes on the generator until its destruction.

Once a generator is destroyed, it can only be brought back online when repaired by the facilities' defenders. Only the Engineer's Nano-Armor Kit is capable of directly repairing a generator, though Amerish's lock bonus will automatically repair the conqueror's generators at a rate of five health per second. Regardless of the method used, 3000 health must be repaired to bring a generator back online.

Nano-Repair Grenades and enhancement grenades fired by the Adaptive Class Underbarrel are unable to repair generators, however havoc grenades fired by that underbarrel will prevent repairs on affected generators temporarily.

To overload or defuse a generator, approach it until an in-world text prompt appears atop the generator, and then tap or hold the Interact hotkey (E by default)

Vehicle Shield Generators[]

Vehicle Shield Generator Large

Vehicle Shield Generators power gate shields designed to prevent the passage of all projectiles and vehicles, without impeding the movement of infantry. They are typically located on the outskirts of facilities in which they are located.

Vehicle shield generators are indicated by the icon of a tank, and almost always power a single shield—the one to which they are closest—even if there are multiple vehicle gate shields inside the given facility. Shields projected by these generators do not impede the movement of infantry in any way, regardless of affiliation, although will block all projectiles and hostile vehicles.

Vehicle gate shields can be penetrated using a Gate Shield Diffuser.

Containment Site (VSG)[]

Main article: Containment Site

Containment sites feature a unique variation of the vehicle gate shield. Functioning closer to vertical/horizontal shields, these shields additionally block the passage of hostile infantry. However, they are not disabled by overloading, but instead through gunfire—greatly reducing the amount of time they are capable of holding off hostile forces, although each vehicle gate shield is powered by two separate generators, both of which must be destroyed to disable the appropriate shield.

Containment Site vehicle gate shields can still be penetrated using a Gate Shield Diffuser.

Vertical/Horizontal Shield Generators[]

Vertical Shield Generator Large

Vertical and Horizontal Shield Generators power shields that prevent the passage of all hostile forces, intended to protect the most vital locations in a facility.

These generators are indicated by three lines of the bearing appropriate to their name, and often power several shields. Even one of these generators can maintain all of their shields at full strength, thus requiring both be destroyed to open the way. These shields fully prevent the passage of hostile infantry and vehicles, without impeding allied infantry or vehicles, although block projectiles regardless of affiliation.

Horizontal Shield Generator Large

The shields projected by these generators display the status of their generators on the shields themselves, with the two icons denoting each generator shown in either their normal state or "broken" based on the state of the appropriate generator.

Vertical/Horizontal shields can be penetrated using a Gate Shield Diffuser.

Spawn Control Unit[]

Bio Lab SCU

The Spawn Control Unit, often shortened to SCU, serves as the power source for the rebirth matrices at major facilities—and also powers the impenetrable shielding that protects their parent facilities' spawn rooms.

Spawn control units are indicated by a unique triangle-shaped icon with spaced lines, and a minature depiction of the generator itself. So long as these units are online, the main spawn room of the facility cannot be entered by any hostile forces, and defenders can spawn freely within that spawn room. The pain field of the spawn room is also powered by the generator.

Although spawn control units are almost always contained within a fully-shielded room, one that is also impenetrable, the method through which those shields are brought down varies depending on the base. For some facilities, the shields drop when the capture progress of the facility reaches 50% or higher in favor of the attackers. For others, an SCU shield generator powers the shielding, although even these generators are often hidden behind yet more shielding.

Spawn control unit shields cannot be penetrated by any means.

Containment Site (SCU)[]

Main article: Containment Site

Containment sites feature a unique variation of the spawn control unit. Only powering the surface level spawn rooms, these units are not as well-protected as typical spawn control units—although power similarly impenetrable shields.

These units are not solely disabled by overloading—though that is still an option—also being vulnerable to anti-vehicle ordnance, allowing them to be destroyed far more quickly than a typical generator.

SCU Shield Generators[]

SCU Shield Generator Large

SCU Shield Generators project impenetrable shields that protect the spawn control unit of a facility.

Though they use the same horizontal three-line icon as a horizontal shield generator, these generators power considerably more potent shielding. They are most often found at Bio Labs, although exist at some Amp Stations as well.
