Engagement Radar is a utility module available to the Lightning, a passive certification for empire specific fighters, and a hidden passive system for the Dervish. It is auto granted to those aircraft, and is otherwise unlocked and upgraded using Certification Points for the Lightning.
While attached, an engagement radar marks hostile aircraft within the listed range on the player's Head-Up Display, showing that pilot's name and their distance. If the aircraft is off-screen, the marker will clamp to the side of the player's screen in the direction of the target.
The radar does not share locations with players besides the crew of the vehicle. Both of the Dervish's crewmen enjoy the benefits of the radar. The functionality of the radar is identical on all vehicles it can be used on, although the Lightning's variant requires higher ranks of its certification to reach the maximum range of 600 meters.
The Vehicle Stealth defense slot upgrade reduces the range at which an aircraft fitted with it will appear on the radar. Spotting a stealth-equipped aircraft, or an aircraft outside of the maximum range of the radar, will cause the target to be marked on the radar at any range until the spot expires.
This module is active at all times.
