Dogfighting Airframe Cert Icon

Dogfighting Airframe is a performance slot boost available to empire specific fighters. It is unlocked and upgraded using Certification Points.

While fitted, a dogfighting airframe improves the roll and yaw capabilities of the fighter, significantly increasing the maximum speed of both control types.

The airframe also decreases the effect of inertia in the X and Y planes whilst in forward flight, dampening the 'drift' experienced by the aircraft when strafing/pitching and thus reducing the turn radius of the aircraft.

Note that this airframe does not increase the pitch speed of the aircraft, it only decreases the radius of the circle the aircraft moves through when turning. The agility section of the airframe only improves forward flight characteristics, and has no effect on hover.

Each rank of dogfighting airframe is 100% more effective than the last, with rank three providing three times the benefit of rank one.

Streamlines the aircraft's performance in favor of dogfighting maneuvers. It improves the turn power, roll power and overall agility of the aircraft.
