Anti-Personnel Explosives are utility slot consumables available to the Infiltrator and Engineer. Each faction has their own variant of Anti-Personnel Explosive.

Purchasing an Anti-Personnel Explosive for a class will not unlock it for the other, similar to other utility slot consumables such a C-4. The certification costs are also different for each class.

By default, the maximum amount of Anti-Personnel Explosives that can be carried is 2 at rank 2. However, the Engineer can use rank 1 of the Mine Carrier suit slot upgrade to increase the limit to 3. Infiltrator does not have an equivalent suit slot upgrade, and is limited to 2.

Unlike the Bouncing Betty and Proximity Mine, the Claymore's proximity sensor and explosive are limited to one direction, though it has increased damage and a shorter detonation timer to compensate.

Previously, Claymores had no detonation timer, and would detonate as soon as their sensor was tripped. However, in the January 12, 2017 Hotfix, a 320ms delay was added.
