Replaces the ironsights with a scope suitable for medium-to-long range fire. This attachment takes more time to bring up than ironsights or reflex sights, making it unsuitable for close range engagements. Note that engaging targets at range with this scope requires some target leading, to compensate for bullet travel time and drop. There are, in general, two kinds of x4 scopes: Triple chevron and basic crosshair. The triple chevron has superior rangefinding ability, while its easier to lead/hit moving targets with the crosshairs.
Each faction has it's own version of the scope; complete with a different model, crosshair, and description. The sight cost and functionality, however, are identical.
Created to better suit carbines and assault rifles for support roles, the OG-4's simple crosshair allows the user to make accurate shots at a distance. It uses 4x magnification perfect for mid-range fights.
CSZ in normal light environment.
CSZ in low light environment.
The CSZ's 4x magnification make it a favorite amongst designated marksmen in the Vanu Sovereignty. This scope uses a triple chevron reticle.
For marksmen that prefer to not put themselves directly in the fray, the Nanite Systems Quadra scope allows users distance between themselves and their intended targets. The Quadra comes equipped with a simple crosshair at 4x magnification.
Tetra in normal light environment.
Tetra in low light environment.
Nanite Systems' Tetra scope gives its users a significant advantage at target acquisition at mid to long ranges thanks to its triple chevron reticule and 4x magnification.
